We are Vikings started in January of 1999 in Harrisonburg, VA. What started as an acoustic duo has now evolved into a four-piece indie-pop band. The lineup originally consisted of Mike Scutari on vocals and guitar and Edward Donohue also on vocals and guitar. The duo started off playing mostly covers of BeeGees, Monkees, and Zombies, with a few originals thrown in. By March, We are Vikings began to rehearse new songs that would eventually be recorded in June and July of 1999. The album is self-titled and graced by fourteen irresistable pop songs. Mike Scutari wrote all of the songs, played guitar, drums, and bass, and sang. Edward Donohue played guitar, bass, and sang. Recently We are Vikings has grown to four-piece group and just played their first show as such at the Spaghetti House located in Harrisonburg, VA. New members include Mike Walker on bass and Marshall Costan on drums. The new album has just been mastered and the release of the album on CD is scheduled for early November 1999.
